Cornell Diplomat Spring 2021 Art Recruitment
The Cornell Diplomat is Cornell’s premier International Affairs magazine. Every semester, we publish a themed magazine issue that tackles a global topic from a variety of perspectives and contexts. We've published four issues so far, with articles on topics ranging from the role gender plays in peacebuilding, to information control in China.
From creating art to writing and editing articles to designing for the magazine, there is ample opportunity for students interested in international affairs to showcase their talents in an intellectually and creatively stimulating manner.
At The Cornell Diplomat, collaboration is at the heart of our work. Artists, specifically, have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the entire team to produce an exciting piece of artwork that creatively frames political issues. As part of the Design Team, they work with writers intimately to create cover art for their article that uniquely portrays their shared vision of the writer’s message. Additionally, artists have the opportunity to design the magazine’s cover art for the semester using digital tools such as Procreate, Adobe Photoshop and Indesign. All artistic styles are welcome at The Cornell Diplomat! Apply on our website.
